Takehisa Yumeji war ein japanischer Dichter und Maler. Er ist vor allem für seine Nihonga-Illustrationen von Bijin bekannt – wunderschönen Frauen und Mädchen –, obwohl er auch eine große Vielfalt an Werken schuf, darunter Buchumschläge, fortlaufende Zeitungsillustrationen, Furoshiki, Postkarten und gemustertes Washi-Papier. Er wurde 1884 in Setouchi, Japan, geboren und starb 1934.
