Greedies

Scottie Wilson evolved a highly personal artistic style, peopled by his own characters - ‘evils and greedies’ - whom he juxtaposed with naturalistic symbols of goodness and truth, often playful and colourful, sometimes bizarre. He began exhibiting in Canada, where he spent his middle years, then moved to London, settling in Kilburn for his remaining years. His highly individual work was admired and acquired by Jean Dubuffet and Picasso.
