After honing her craft at the prestigious St Martin’s School of Art and later earning an MA in sculpture from the Royal College of Art, Kardia’s early career was defined by sculptural installations that responded to architectural spaces. However, it was in 1987 that a pivotal shift occurred, as she began to embrace color and the two-dimensional plane, allowing her to explore the fluid interplay between inner emotion and external beauty.
