Rada Boukova, born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1973, is a Bulgarian artist currently residing and working in Paris. Her artistic journey began with foundational training in applied arts and textile design, followed by intensive study in stage design at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia—a formative experience that instilled within her an unwavering fascination for capturing subtle shifts and transformations inherent in the fabric of daily existence. Between 1995 and 1997, she honed her craft as a set designer and costume creator for Bulgarian national theatre productions, immersing herself in collaborative projects that demanded meticulous attention to detail and visual storytelling.
